Matt’s Dugout wasn't always the bustling shop it is today. I grew up in a small town in New Jersey, about an hour from Philadelphia. My father, Don, was a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, and naturally, I got swept up in his passion. Throughout my childhood, I played just about every sport imaginable, with Don coaching most of my teams. Sports became more than just a hobby for our family; they became our way of life.

Every day after work, Don would come home, turn on a game, and we’d dream about starting our own sports business. While I was in college pursuing a degree in business, I stumbled upon the concept of sports card breaking. Don and I had always enjoyed opening sports cards together, and we saw potential in turning this hobby into a business.

Every weekend, Don and I worked on our business idea, inching closer to making our dream a reality. When my family moved to Florida, I decided to follow and commit to the business full-time. As Matt’s Dugout started to take off, Don made the decision to quit his job and join me in building our dream.

Today, Matt’s Dugout continues to grow, and every day is an exciting new chapter in our journey. We look forward to what the future holds for our business and our shared passion for sports.
